Just seven years ago, I was working as a restaurant manager.
Up to 60 hours work weeks…
Attending full-time college classes with two babies at home.
I was longing to see my ideas as published books, enjoyed by readers…
I had this passion to impact the world and share meaningful stories with others ever since I was small.
But despite that long-term desire…
I had barely written anything for years.
I struggled with every form of writer’s block possible…
I would start an idea and then forget where I was going...
I was staring at the pages for hours…
Writing, re-writing, moving things around, wondering if I would ever get there…
Feeling like maybe everyone else had some special missing link inaccessible to me…
Feeling completely inadequate to write the book...
Not to mention the naysayers who didn't believe it was really possible either...
And then one day...
I realized that if I wanted to reach my goals and not be stuck in a job where I was miserable for the rest of my life…
I had to do something different…
I needed to write.
It was the kick I needed to finally finish my first book.
